- Contains higher amounts of minerals compared to other grain flours (phosphorous, manganese, iron, magnesium, folate)

Common Uses Use in gluten-free baking or with gluten-rich flours when baking cakes and breads that rise. Substitute for approximately half of the all-purpose baking flour in many recipes or completely replace wheat flour in cakes and cookie recipes. When replacing 100% of gluten containing flours in recipes, a binding agent, such as eggs, needs to be added or increased, the cooking time and temperature will need to be reduced and additional moisture is required. It blends well with other grain free flours such as buckwheat, almond and besan flour. Make delicious pancakes, quinoa bread, pasta, muffins and biscuits. It can also be used as a thickening agent for sauces
