Macronutrients Black and white sesame seeds have a similar macronutrient content - comprised mostly fat (50g/100) with some protein (18g/100g) and carbohydrate (23g/100g) mainly in the form of starch and fibre (almost no sugar). The fat content of sesame seeds is mostly monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids with a small amount of saturated fatty acids. On a micronutrient level sesame seeds actually contain a good amount of thiamin (B1), vitamin B6, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, copper, zinc and manganese.
