Ingredients Organic basmati rice
Common Uses Often used with Indian cuisine and works particularly well with currys and coconut flavours.
Nutritional Aspects Macronutrients: Basmati rice has a higher starch (carbohydrate) content than other rices (77g/ 100g), although not quite as high as Arborio rice. The high starch content comes at the expense of protein (only 8g/100g) and fat (less than 1g/100g), however these can be compensated for by consuming rice with foods containing protein and fats. Basmati rice contains only about 2.2g/100g fibre.Micronutrients: White, organic, basmati rice contains small amounts of thiamin, niacin and folate, iron and potassium but not significant amounts to really make a contribution towards an individual‰۪s RDI.
