Nutritional Aspects Vitamins: Thanks to the high levels of fats contained in almonds, they are an exceptional source of the fat-soluble Vitamin E, providing 28mg in every 100g almonds (recommended adequate intake is 7mg for women and 10mg for men). Minerals: Almonds also contain a variety of essential minerals including magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, calcium and to a lesser extent Zinc. Protein: Almonds also contain a significant amount of protein at 19.5g/100g, meaning they assist muscle, enzyme and hormone function while increasing the satiation effect of foods. Blanched almonds contain very similar amounts of nutrients as raw almonds, with slightly reduced carbohydrate content (thus, more concentrated fat and protein), potassium and vitamin E levels.
